Smallish with chalky flesh and a lemony flavour - slightly astringent, yet also sweet. The quality of the flesh is probably not to modern tastes but it would make a good cider or juicing apple.

Found in about 1852 by Joh. Waller, growing wild in Chusenrain - Sempach, Switzerland. It was named in 1891 by R. Stalder of Meggen. Fruits have soft flesh with an insipid flavour.
