Potato Onions

I have been attempting to breed a locally adapted Potato Onion (sometimes known as multiplier onions) cultivar. The Potato Onion page describes the process and progress.

Snail Sowing

I came across a new (to me) method of propagating from seed called Snail Sowing or the Snail Roll Method. Basically, the Snail Sowing Method consists of laying out a strip of soil on a fairly impermeable sheet such as cardboard, planting seeds along the top edge and then rolling the soil and seeds up into a spiral until you get something that looks kind of like a snails shell. I find that it really works well and so I have added a Snail Sowing page to document the process and my results.

Sourdough Bread

I have developed a quick and simple way to make sourdough bread - I call it Low Effort Sourdough Bread. This method requires no kneading and takes about 10 minutes of effort to make. The end result is a good tasting loaf of acceptable appearance.
